Junkie

hey junkie. guess what.... we're all junkies.
We all have done some sort of junk in some form or another.

let's talk about all the junkie stuff we consume

that's addictive & won't satisfy.

nope, this is not Jesus.
they pop in your mouth kind of like Jesus though....
the smoke kind of reminds me of the burnt incense offerings during holy benediction... but these cigarettes are definitely not offering up holy smoke.

new love, sex, romance, bed hopping...

still not Jesus.

kind of resembles the excitement "high" of the Eucharist

that comes with faith & repeated sacraments though....

pornography.... ok, you KNOW that's NOT Jesus.

nope.

not even close.

nope.

nope.

that's a big fat nope right there....

gossiping / pharisee~ing
one of the reasons why gossip is SO addictive, is because it makes us feel better about ourselves. if we're focused on other people's problems, we can't see our own. then we look "good" to ourselves....

have you ever been a pharisee? i have. talk about ugly....

Phar·i·see
ˈferəˌsē/
noun
plural noun: Pharisees
  1. a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity.
    • a self-righteous person; a hypocrite.

truth is, we are NO better than anyone else.
we are all messed up. not just sort of messed up,
we're all really messed up.
see, no matter how messed up the other person is, the truth remains. we're sinners. we're sinners just like they are. & if you think about it long enough.... we've sinned the same way they have. maybe not exactly, but we have. in fact, let's go into this a little deeper....

see, we all have a horrible secret....

no matter how ugly it is, we're not ok.

in fact, we are SO not ok, that we're guilty.

let's begin.... there was this perfect woman. her name is Mary.
isn't she perfect & beautiful?!
ok, well, the cold hard truth is.... you killed that baby of hers.
so did i. i killed her precious & most perfect, holy Son.
i am guilty.
i am a sinner too.
i'm responsible for the knife in her heart.
(that's enough right there to make me want to
swallow a million pills....
don't do that.)

we are all responsible for this.

He was innocent.

He could've fought (& jumped off the cross, or flew.)

He could've turned the whole crowd to broccoli or something....

but He didn't. He paid the price for us.

"To desire grace without recourse to the Virgin Mother is to desire to fly without wings. "

- Pope Pius XII

Mother Mary, i am so sorry i did this to you.
there is good news about this perfect woman....
in all her perfection, her merciful heart.... see, she prays for us. even though we hurt her & killed her Son. (& her prayers mean MUCH, let me tell you....) see sinless prayers mean a LOT. (picture precious diamonds coming from her perfect mouth.)

there's good news about Jesus. He rose from the dead,
defeated all of hell, bought you, & wants you.

Jesus told us to do something that would cure this sin addiction we have in John 6:53-59.

Jesus said,

John 6:53-59New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

53 Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. 54 Whoever eats[a] my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.” 59 These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

here's another one:

1 Corinthians 11:23-24New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

Tradition of the Institution. 23 [a]For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, 24 and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

There's more about the Eucharist in the bible,

but i'm going to let you look that up.

we were born knowing that we needed to take something... let's talk about these.
pill popping (wow, those sort of look like Jesus in the Eucharist. sort of.)
hmmmmm.... that kind of reminds me of something....
oh yeah, there's Jesus.
there's a reason why this doesn't satisfy.... maybe if i have more....
why can't i drink enough of this???
wait!  oh yes, there's Jesus. here's the drink.
drink that.

loving you is wanting the best for you, & what's best for you is Jesus.

is this easy? no. but Jesus can do anything. work with Him. ask Him to help you conquer this sin. & that sin, & that sin. keep going toward Jesus.

this junk addiction is really tough....it's like when we're really thirsty, but we eat instead, sometimes our thirst feels like hunger.
what you're desperately hungering for is for Him.
here, take this.

this addiction isn't you. it looks like garbage on you.
you are more than this.

if you're reading this, i've prayed for the Holy Spirit to be with you to guide you.
& i will continue to pray for you.

you are priceless, even though your sins are scarlet,
He makes you white as snow.
there's a "hospital" for sinners right down the road from you.
frequent mass, & taking the Eucharist is your new addiction.
well, what have you got to lose?
(besides your soul....)

you are not too far gone. He is able.

come as you are.

cling, cling, cling to Jesus.

Jesus came to save the repentant sinners.

what is repentant?

re·pent·ance
rəˈpentəns/
noun
  1. the action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.
"each person who turns to God in genuine repentance and faith will be saved"
    synonyms:remorsecontrition, contriteness, penitenceregret, ruefulness,
    remorsefulness, shame,guilt

you have the regret, shame, guilt.... now it's time to turn from it.

this is what's going on during the consecration part at mass.
go & ask that dealer with the collar (the priest)
how to become a member of the family.

we want you. (& don't ever let any of your brothers or sisters deter you from going to the house of God,
you know how it can be sometimes with brothers & sisters....
they're sinners too, & they sometimes don't treat other brothers & sisters right.)

lift your head weary sinner.

telling the truth.

run devil.... be gone in the name of Jesus.

The Word Became Flesh

if He healed me, He can heal you. Jesus in the Eucharist healed me.

hey, i've heard it all.... but this is coming from a girl so desperate to find Jesus, that she journeyed through just about every single "church" to find Him. from pentecostal, baptist, methodist, lutheran, non denominationals of all sorts, you name it, i went there.... may my heartwrenchingly long journey serve you by saving you the time & trouble. He is in the Eucharist. He's there.

may your wandering feet lead you straight to the tabernacle & finally home to heaven with Him.

it's time to be done consuming the false Jesus lies & traps there are out there.
time to open those beautiful eyeballs of yours & see the truth.

there is NO sin that Jesus has not seen. you are redeemable.
the enemy does not want you to know the redemptive power of this Host.

the addiction isn't the problem, it's what you're addicted to. this void you have is there because it needs to be filled.

your true hunger is for THIS Host. it's a hole that can only be filled by Jesus.
now, go fill it with the right thing.

oh, & i love you.

~lisa

surrender.

one last note.... i know many things happen... remember, everyone in the house is a sinner, & the enemy is trying to destroy us all. (especially the leaders of the house. the enemy knows if he can mess with the heads of the house, he can scatter the children & pick them off one by one. pray diligently for the leaders of the house, for the enemy hits them the hardest.)

i hope my blogish thingy serves you well. but most of all i hope it serves my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. for without Him, nothing is possible.

but, with HIM, all things are possible.

this link below to this CD touches the topic of suicide a few times, & happens to be the best divine mercy audio resource i've heard yet. i highly recommend it whether or not you're suffering with suicidal thoughts, or know someone who is suicidal or has committed suicide. i can't recommend it enough.
